Originated from the beautiful south of Italy, the word fusilli comes from fuso, meaning “spindle” as traditionally it is “spun” by pressing and rolling a small rod over the thin strips of pasta to wind them around it in a corkscrew shape. Fusilli has high adhesion with sauces or it can be served simply in pasta salads.
